Here’s your latest update on what’s been happening around the urbanization this past month. Our goal, as always, is to keep Mijas La Nueva looking its best and functioning smoothly for everyone who calls it home. We also hope you enjoy some of the animal photos, that remind us every day that we're very close to nature.
Damage to historic trees
We are saddened to report that one of the historic surviving olive trees from the fire in the early 2000s was today knocked down by a large truck with a crane. We cherish all of our natural resources, and aim to use our security cameras to trace the number plate of the offending truck



The new security cameras
There's more than meets the eye when it comes to installing the new security cameras. Not only do the boys have install a strong cement support in the ground, they also have run lay under some quite long cables - and in order to keep them out of sight they need to installed under the roadside or along the pathways. The flexible skills of the boys allows us to minimize costs that could otherwise prove prohibitive (e.g.: hiring electricians to install the cabling).


The farm dog is out again
Part of the work of the boys is to pick up the (occasionally) roaming dog that ends up from time to time on our Ubanization.

Extensive work to re-landscape the area around the lower pool
This is the time of the year for the kind of work that can only be done when it's cooler out. At the moment the boys are doing a lot to make the areas around the lower pool look are lot more landscaped.
