Here’s your latest update on what’s been happening around the urbanization this past month. Our goal, as always, is to keep Mijas La Nueva looking its best and functioning smoothly for everyone who calls it home. We also hope you enjoy some of the animal photos, that remind us every day that we're very close to nature.
The new security cameras
There's more than meets the eye when it comes to installing the new security cameras. Not only do the boys have install a strong cement support in the ground, they also have run lay under some quite long cables - and in order to keep them out of sight they need to installed under the roadside or along the pathways. The flexible skills of the boys allows us to minimize costs that could otherwise prove prohibitive (e.g.: hiring electricians to install the cabling).


Tree cuttings in the basuras
We've had a handful of instances of excessive tree cutting, which overloads the basura areas, leaving the boys with a job on their hands (and extra costs) to clear things up. We kindly ask you to be considerate. Each time the boys have to clean the overloaded basuras we incur a cost of EUR 150.


Lower swimming pool problems
We have had a major issues at the lower swimming which has been losing water due to one or several leaks. We had to initiate some emergency diagnostic work working with divers to identify the leak location. The boys as always were reactive and proactive in leading this work.


Safety Scaffolding
We have provided scaffolding to the boys so they can reach further, and more safely, as they work on the trimming

Badgered
The boys used infra-red cameras to identify the culprits behind the recent unearthing work around the upper pool. The culprits: badgers!

Our dedicated maintenance team continues to respond swiftly to resident requests and unexpected issues. This month, they:
